About the Role
We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer to design, analyse, and support the development of mechanical and structural systems for Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS). The role involves performing stress, thermal, and kinematic analyses, developing CAD models and engineering documentation, supporting prototyping and testing, and collaborating with cross-functional teams and vendors to ensure robust and reliable system performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Mechanical, structural and installation design work related to Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) and relevant sub-systems
- Sizing components for design of mechanical systems
- Perform analysis related to structural integrity for UAS flight-critical systems (stress, weight and balance, kinematics, etc.)
- Perform engineering tests related to UAS design (thermal, stress, weight and balance, kinematics, etc.)
- Prepare engineering documentation (design report, weight & balance report, stress analysis report, engineering drawings, etc.)
- Prepare CAD models and engineering drawings for UAS and relevant sub-systems
- Prepare 3D-printed parts (additive manufacturing) for prototypes
- Configuration control of design data in accordance with process
