About the Role

ST Engineering Aerospace Engines is seeking talents (with or without experience) to join our dynamic aerospace engineering team. This position is based in the Airport Road East Region and represents a key role within our engine assembly operations. As an Aircraft Engine Assembly/Disassembly Technician, you will be responsible for the precise assembly and disassembly of aircraft engines, ensuring adherence to stringent aerospace quality standards and engineering specifications. This role is critical to delivering high-quality engine components and completed assemblies that meet our clients' exacting requirements and regulatory compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform accurate assembly and disassembly of aircraft engines and engine components according to engineering drawings, work instructions and technical specifications
  • Conduct thorough inspections of engine components and assemblies to identify defects, wear or non-conformities
  • Maintain detailed documentation and records of all assembly and disassembly procedures, test results and quality checks
  • Operate precision tools and measurement equipment, ensuring calibration compliance and accurate readings
  • Collaborate with quality assurance and engineering teams to address technical issues and ensure compliance with aerospace standards
  • Perform cleaning, lubrication and preservation of engine components as required
  • Adhere strictly to safety procedures, work instructions and regulatory requirements throughout all operations
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and provide feedback on process optimisation
  • Support test activities and troubleshooting of engine systems when required

What We're Looking For

  • Diploma/Higher Nitec/Nitec in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent aerospace technical training
  • Proven experience in aircraft engine assembly, disassembly or related aerospace manufacturing operations, preferably in a regulated environment
  • Strong knowledge of aerospace quality standards, including AS9100 or equivalent certification standards
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, work instructions and engineering specifications
  • Competency in using precision measurement tools such as micrometres, calipers, gauges and test equipment
  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to work to tight tolerances and maintain accurate records
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to communicate technical issues clearly to engineering and quality teams
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
