South Coast Air Services is a specialist air taxi service based in Warrnambool and servicing the greater South West Victoria.
Anatole Mills, the Chief Pilot, also heads Adventure Flight Co an aviation business that started in 2009 operating ex-military fighter aircraft on adventure flights for the general public. With the arrival of an Australian built GA8 Airvan 8 seat aircraft, Anatole teamed up with surf buddy Edward Sawers to create King Island Surf Safaris and Southern Golf Getaways in 2014.
As demand for King Island trips grew they added the twin engine, 10 seat Piper Navajo Chieftain, based at Barwon Heads Airport near Geelong. This fast, comfortable, all weather corporate aircraft has an excellent safety record and is the mainstay of specialist charter operates throughout the world.
In 2019 a second Piper Navajo 8 seater was introduced to be based at Warrnambool – and South Coast Air Services was created.
As well as carrying many happy surfers and golfers to and from King Island, the group does regular subcontract work flying AFL football players, mobile dental clinics, and company executives for food and transport companies that have far flung branches.
We are fortunate to have our own engineering team based just down the road in Peterborough, and Chief Pilot Anatole Mills is a third generation pilot with over 4,000 hours of commercial flying – a big chunk of which has been spent over Bass Strait
