The Engineer (Aerospace MRO) is the main technical focal point on the product assigned for supporting both internal and external customers.
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support to the electro-mechanical workshop, with backup support to the other workshops as assigned;
- Review airworthiness publications (AD, CMM, SB, etc.) when new or updated, and follow up on required actions;
- Create and update maintenance worksheets, support sheets, special process procedures, test bench operating procedures, tooling evaluation forms and other technical documents required for component repairs;
- Review warranty claims and provide technical decisions;
- Insert/replace airworthiness documents (CMM, SB, maintenance worksheets, etc.) for workshop use;
- Submit technical queries to the OEM for technical clarification and out-of-scope repairs;
- Assist the workshop in improving special tools and coordinate with the vendor for tooling fabrication;
- Resolve test bench issues and ensure its availability for production use;
- Respond to technical inquiries from technicians, customer support, and other support functions;
- Support lean projects by identifying cost reduction solutions and leading the necessary sub-tasks and propose improvement solutions;
- Conduct product training for the workshop.
Job requirements:
- Degree in Engineering
- Strong knowledge of electronics is a plus
- Familiar with the aviation industry (OEM, regulations, maintenance protocols) is advantageous
- Knowledge on technical documentation used (Service Bulletin, OEM documents, CMM, IPC, etc.) is advantageous
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
- Able to interpret technical drawings
- Experience with 3D design software is advantageous.
