About the Role
The successful candidate will join the Overseas Accounting department in SIA Finance Division.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for accounts receivable activities for SIN Sales Passenger functions, such as:
- Perform reconciliation between sales, billings and settlement to ensure that discrepancies are duly accounted for the different payment methods
- Follow up with SIN business units on credit card chargebacks received and respond to acquirers timely
- Investigating and resolving any irregularities or enquiries
- Accountable for general ledger activities for SIN Sales, including the recording and review of journal entries, accruals submitted by business units, monitoring and clearance of various suspense accounts, etc.
- Perform monthly/quarterly checklists for suspense accounts, account receivable, cash/bank, etc.
- Perform monthly, quarterly, annual closing activities and variance analysis review between actuals vs budget
- Work with IT team on system enhancements testing, where applicable.
- Any other duties assigned by Senior Manager Overseas Accounting.
Essential Requirements
- Possess a Diploma in Accountancy or similar
- Meticulous, self-driven and able to work independently as well as in a team
- Able to work under pressure and perform under tight datelines
- Proficient with Microsoft Office – Excel & Word and IT savy; and
- Knowledge of SAP will be an added advantage
