About the Role

This is a full-time, on-site Aircraft Sheet Metal Technician role based in Rawang. The technician will fabricate, repair, and modify aircraft sheet metal components, including cutting, forming, drilling, and assembling parts according to engineering drawings, specifications, and maintenance manuals. Daily tasks include interpreting technical documentation, using hand tools and equipment to perform precise metalwork, fitting and aligning structures, and conducting inspections to ensure quality and safety standards are met. The role also involves collaborating with engineers and other technicians, maintaining a clean and safe work area, documenting work performed, and following all relevant aviation regulations and company procedures.

Qualifications

  • Strong proficiency with hand tools used for aircraft structural work, including cutting, drilling, measuring, and fastening tools.
  • Practical metalworking skills, such as cutting, bending, forming, and fitting metal parts for structural applications.
  • Experience working with sheet metal materials, including fabrication, repair, and structural assembly techniques.
  • Knowledge of basic welding processes and safe welding practices for aerospace or industrial environments.
  • Understanding of aircraft structures, components, and aviation maintenance standards.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and maintenance manuals.
  • Attention to detail, strong safety awareness, and ability to follow standardized procedures.
  • Relevant certification or diploma in aircraft maintenance, metal fabrication, or a related technical field preferred.
  • Previous experience in aerospace, aviation maintenance, or related industries is an advantage.
  • Ability to work on-site in Rawang, collaborate with a diverse team, and meet production and quality targets.
