About the Role
The Logistics Specialist is responsible for overseeing the efficient management of goods receipt, internal distribution, outbound shipments, and maintaining precise inventory records. This role ensures compliance with company policies and safety standards in all store operations and works closely with both internal and external stakeholders to support store and logistics activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Goods Receiving & Issuance: Manage the receipt of incoming goods and spare parts, and issue them internally to the workshop for repair activities.
- Shipping Management: Organise and execute shipments to customers, ensuring proper coordination with external forwarders.
- Stakeholder Liaison: Collaborate internally with the sales department and workshop, and externally with logistics partners.
- Documentation: Handle, sort, and archive all documents and records related to store activities meticulously.
- Safety & Compliance: Adhere to workplace safety standards (e.g. ensure use of PPE, follow procedures) and report any discrepancies or non-conformity to the store leader or supply chain manager.
- Project Participation: Take part in the implementation of projects, ad-hoc requirements, or investigations relevant to store activities.
- HSE Compliance: Strictly follow Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) regulations and company policies; participate in HSE programs, initiatives, and risk mitigation activities.
- Officer Role: Assume appointed HSE roles as required by Safran and regulatory guidelines.
- Other Duties: Perform any other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum "O" level with 3 years experience in store inventory control and shipping
- Well-versed in inventory computerised systems, preferably SAP B1
- Good keyboard and typing skills
- Good communication skills in English
- A team player
- CAAS paper of L11 or L12 will be an added advantage
- Preferably with knowledge of the aviation industry

- Handling and shipping hazardous/dangerous goods (e.g. IATA rules)
- Experience with inventory software, SAP B1
- Keeping track of parts and proper documentation
