Rolls-Royce

Rolls-Royce designs, manufactures and services gas turbine engines and power and propulsion systems for civil aerospace, defence, marine and energy applications worldwide.

Rolls-Royce designs, manufactures and services advanced gas turbine engines for civil aerospace and defence applications, including powerplants for some of the world's most efficient commercial aircraft. The company operates across three divisions - Civil Aerospace, Defence, and Power Systems - and has more than 100 years of engineering heritage in safety-critical power and propulsion. Beyond new-build production, it sustains in-service fleets through servicing and maintenance of complex power systems; its Seletar, Singapore facility performs aero-engine component repair and overhaul.

The technical remit extends well beyond civil turbofans. Rolls-Royce provides the sole nuclear propulsion for the Royal Navy's submarine fleet and develops power solutions for land and sea applications through its Power Systems division. Work also spans sustainable aviation fuel technologies, hybrid-electric propulsion, and small modular reactor development for low-carbon energy generation, alongside wider decarbonisation engineering.

Engineers and technicians work on gas turbine design and manufacturing, nuclear propulsion systems, and the servicing of complex power systems across civil aerospace, defence, marine and naval, energy, transportation and power generation sectors. The organisation is global, with its United Kingdom base underpinning programmes in air, at sea and on land.
