About the role
As an Aerodrome Reporting Officer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and compliant operation of the Goldfield Aerodrome. Your responsibilities will include a mix of inspection, reporting, maintenance, and coordination tasks, in alignment with aviation safety and security regulations.
This is a residential role; the company will supply accommodation in Marble Bar. Company vehicle, company phone and laptop provided.

What you’ll be doing
Conduct regular runway and airport serviceability inspections; report and respond to any changes.
Prepare and issue NOTAMs (Notice to Air Missions) as required.
Participate in emergency responses, including real incidents and scheduled exercises.
Assist with repairs and maintenance of runway, taxiway and apron surfaces.
Perform wildlife management activities and record relevant data.
Assist with the treatment and clean-up of oil spills.
Operate a variety of plant and machinery, ranging from basic to complex.
Manage and allocate aircraft parking bays efficiently.
Monitor and report any unauthorised or unsafe activity on the airside.
Carry out painting and marking maintenance where needed.
Inspect visual approach aids for serviceability.
Support delivery of airside driver training and assessments, as required.
Skills and Experience
3 to 5 years of experience in an aviation environment.
Must hold ARO/WSO and AROC Certificates.
Must maintain a valid ASIC (Aviation Security Identification Card).
Must hold the required level of Airside Driving Authority (ADA).
Aircraft ground handling and marshalling
Airline passenger and baggage processing
Operation of tractors slashers
Petrol hand tools
General handyman and maintenance of buildings and minor equipment
Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and contractors.
Excellent problem-solving skills, particularly in remote locations.
Strong leadership, communication (written, verbal and presentation), and interpersonal skills.
Self-motivated, decisive, and adaptable to change and competing demands.
Strong computer skills including the ability to write reports, use spreadsheets, and work with aviation software such as ARINS.
