Queensland Government Air (QGAir) forms part of the Queensland Police Service (QPS), Aviation Capability Group (ACG) and provides government aviation services specialising in both rotary and fixed wing operations in support of the QPS and our partner agencies in regular and emergency response operations across Queensland. The Role
Join QGAir’s dynamic rotary wing team in Cairns and make a real difference to the lives of those in need. We are seeking experienced helicopter pilots to fly single pilot, instrument flight rules (IFR) in multi-engine AW139 helicopters. You’ll be part of a highly coordinated, multi-crew environment conducting emergency medical, search and rescue and counter-disaster operations. Your role will involve supporting aeromedical and various police and government related missions ensuring each operation is conducted safely and efficiently.

What We're Looking For
Mandatory requirements:
Hold a current Australian Commercial Pilots Licence (CPL - Helicopter)
Completion of Air Transport Pilots Licence Subjects (Helicopter)
Low Level Rating
Multi Engine Command Instrument Rating – 3 Renewals
Minimum 2500 hours total time
Minimum 1500 hours Pilot in Command (PIC) Helicopter
Minimum 200 hours Night PIC Helicopter
Minimum 500 hours Multi-Engine PIC Helicopter
Minimum 1200 hours Turbine Helicopter
Hold or be eligible to hold an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC)
Current Class 1 Aviation Medical
Highly desirable
Hold a current Australian Air Transport Pilots Licence (ATPL)
Night Vision Imaging System (NVIS) Rating
Minimum 100 hours NVIS Operations
AW139 Type Rating
Hold a current Australian Passport
