The Opportunity
Full-time permanent role based near Brisbane Airport. The Regional Safety Advisor works within the regional safety advisory team to manage development, implementation and oversight of safety strategy, framework, policies and procedures for the Qantas Group QLD/NT business areas, minimising injuries and damage and ensuring regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement safety strategy, systems, frameworks, policies and procedures
- Work with business units to ensure regulatory compliance and a proactive safety culture
- Improve identification, mitigation and resolution of hazards
Essential Requirements
- Tertiary qualification in Occupational Health and Safety or related discipline
- Experience in an HSE position with a record of delivering improvement
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement safety strategies in a large operational business
- Sound understanding of WHS legislation and Human Factors principles
- Excellent communication and stakeholder liaison skills
