The Royal Aero Club of Western Australia is one of Australia’s largest flight training organisations, with more than 30 aircraft and qualified flight instructors. From humble beginnings in 1929, we’ve grown to become one of Australia’s most experienced and highly respected training schools. Royal Aero Club graduates can be found throughout the aviation industry, including at Qantas, Virgin Blue, Cathay Pacific, SkyWest, Skippers Aviation and the Royal Australian Air Force. Over its long history, the Royal Aero Club has built a reputation for excellence because of its professional approach to flying. We are committed to ensuring graduates are not only professional pilots but also employable pilots. We do not compromise on safety in our training and we produce graduates with skills and knowledge beyond Civil Aviation Safety Authority requirements. We aim to produce the safest pilots available to the international aviation industry.

SFC began in 1969 when a small group of local aviation enthusiasts gathered to discuss the idea of starting a flying club. Their dream was to create a community that would promote and support aviation, providing a space for like-minded people to come together and share their passion for flying. Over the years, our club has grown in size and reputation, becoming the largest aviation club on the eastern seaboard. Today, SFC is a well-respected flight training organisation that is shaping the next generation of pilots in Sydney and regional NSW, while still remaining true to its roots as a club at its core.

Founded in 1994 Horizon Airways has a successful history of training students for their Recreational, Private and Commercial Pilot Licences plus Ratings and Endorsements Pilot Training varies from beginner to Commercial Pilot including RPL, PPL, NVFR, Private IFR and CPL along with design features endorsements such as Constant Speed Propeller, Retractable undercarriage, multi-Engine ratings and more. Under new management since July 2021, the hangar/office has undergone a revamp with departure lounge, offices and upstairs classrooms. We also now conduct theory classes and stock a variety of headsets, books and charts for purchase. We have an additional instructor plus we are expanding our available aircraft. Charter is available with Pilots experienced in the Mackay, Whitsundays and throughout Central and North Queensland areas at affordable prices. Horizon Airways also offers Private Aircraft Hire.

Founded in 2017, Altocap Flight School was built with a mission to offer top-tier aviation training in Australia.Located in Sydney, Altocap Flight School is dedicated to providing high-quality, structured aviation training. Our programs cater to a wide range of aspirations, from trial introductory flights and recreational flying lessons to earning a Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL) or Flight Instructor Rating (FIR).Our team brings decades of experience across the aviation industry, with backgrounds in flying clubs, commercial operations, and advanced training.
