Pacific Crown Helicopters, based at the Sunshine Coast Airport is looking for an experienced and motivated qualified automotive painter to join our aviation refurbishment department.
The role involves working on high-quality refurbishment projects and requires someone who takes pride in their work, has a strong work ethic, and is confident working across different painting systems and applications.
What we're looking for
- Qualified Painter with Cert III in Automotive Finishing (or equivalent trade qualifications)
- Experience with flow coating
- Ability to carry out complete restorations from preparation through to final finish
- Experience working with different paint systems and structures
- Strong, productive work ethic and the ability to work efficiently
- High attention to detail and pride in workmanship
- Eager to learn and develop new skills
- Able to work independently as well as part of a small team
- Automotive base-coating experience would be advantageous
- Aviation or aircraft refurbishment experience would be highly regarded but is not essential
The role
You will be involved in the preparation, painting and restoration of aircraft components and refurbishment projects. This is a hands-on position suited to someone who enjoys quality workmanship and wants to work on varied projects rather than repetitive production-line painting.
We are offering an initial 3-month contract trial, with the potential for ongoing contracting for the right person.
Rate: $45–$55/hour, depending on experience and capability.
