Junior Drone Pilot

About the Role

This is a Junior Drone Pilot position with Neurosight Robotics, a Gold Coast-based drone and robotics inspection company. The role suits someone early in their drone career who wants to grow into running smaller jobs independently – such as residential roof inspections – while also supporting senior pilots on larger commercial and industrial projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently operate on smaller, straightforward jobs (e.g. roof inspections) once trained and signed off
• Assist senior pilots on-site with drone operations for larger asset and infrastructure inspections
• Help set up, calibrate and maintain drone equipment and payloads
• Capture and manage data/imagery for inspections, surveys and 3D scanning
• Follow safety procedures and site-specific requirements across a variety of environments
• Communicate directly with clients on straightforward jobs where required
• Travel to project sites across Queensland and occasionally interstate

About You

• A genuine interest in drones, robotics and aerial/industrial inspection technology
• RePL and AROC preferable but not essential – full training and licensing support provided
• Able to work independently and use good judgement once trained, particularly on lower-risk jobs
• Comfortable working outdoors, at heights, and in a range of site environments
• Reliable, safety-conscious and a strong communicator with clients
• Physically fit and willing to travel for project work
• A current driver's licence is highly regarded; prior drone flying experience is a bonus but not essential
