The role:
Baggage Services include offloading and loading Passenger bags (lifting up to 32kgs and 300-500 bags per shift)
Ramp Services once progressed through Bag room, including driving GSE to collect and deliver bags
Permanent Part-Time min 24 hours per week – in peak times may be rostered up to 35 hours
Shift work – across 7 days and across 24 hours – early starts from 3.00am and late finishes 1.30am
Work is rostered 5 of 7 days every week – 1 shift swap per week only

are available for 24-35 hours a week across 7 days and 24 hours
are able to lift up to 32kgs repetitively for a 4 hours with some breaks
have an Australian Drivers license (Probationary or Full-License) and good driving history
full working rights to work in Australia
are able to get a current National Police Check and International if required
do not have prior injuries (i.e. knees, backs, shoulders) that would be affected by a physically demanding job
do not take any CASA prohibited medications or participate in recreational drug use

What you will be doing
Working alongside a great team to meet baggage turn-around times for flight arrivals and departures
Load and unload baggage from aircraft containers or luggage dolleys to conveyer belts
Keep fit! Lifting light to heavy baggage ranging from 5 to 32 kilograms.
Use motorized equipment safely and efficiently in line with training provided
Use manual, automated or computerifsed systems
Work indoors and outdoors with protective uniforms supplied for all weather types
Once skilled in Baggage Room and Airport Operations move to training for an Airside Drivers license – Driving Tugs between baggage room to aircraft
