Position Title: Assistant Manager, Central Region Sales (Malaysia)
Reports To: Sales Manager, Central Region
Position Summary
Manage assigned travel agency and trade partner accounts by developing and executing effective sales and marketing initiatives, strengthening customer and trade relationships, and identifying business opportunities to achieve sales targets in line with the Commercial Strategic Pillars.
Key Accountabilities
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with assigned travel agencies, travel trade partners, tourism boards, and other relevant business partners to drive sales opportunities and ensure continuous business support in line with the Company's sales policies and procedures.
- Identify growth opportunities and implement sales strategies and initiatives to achieve assigned revenue and sales targets within the allocated budget. Monitor sales performance, revenue trends, and relevant KPIs to support the achievement of Commercial Strategic Pillar (CSP) targets.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify and capitalise on commercial opportunities, improve sales performance, and drive higher-yield revenue contribution from assigned travel agencies and trade partners.
- Gather feedback from trade partners and analyse account and regional sales performance, market trends, and competitor activities to identify opportunities and provide recommendations to the Sales Manager to strengthen sales performance.
- Conduct sales presentations, product briefings, and engagements with existing and potential clients and trade partners to promote the Company's products and services, ensuring that commercial terms and conditions are aligned with Company policies and guidelines.
- Maintain a high standard of customer service and support to assigned clients and trade partners by understanding their business needs, strengthening relationships, and ensuring issues are addressed in a timely and professional manner.
- Maintain accurate and timely sales reports, account updates, sales pipeline information, and other relevant performance data to support sales planning, performance monitoring, and management decision-making.
Qualifications & Areas of Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, or a related discipline with a minimum of 3 years of relevant working experience in sales, business development, account management, or other related commercial functions, preferably within the aviation, travel, or tourism industry.
- Good understanding of the aviation, travel, or tourism industry, including market dynamics, customer segments, and industry trends.
- Experience in sales, business development, account management, or other relevant commercial functions.
- Demonstrated ability to achieve sales and revenue targets and manage a portfolio of customer or trade accounts.
- Experience in developing and maintaining relationships with customers, travel agencies, trade partners, and other relevant stakeholders.
- Good analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales performance, market trends, and competitor activities.
- Good communication, presentation, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
