About LSG Sky Chefs
LSG Sky Chefs is one of New Zealand's largest airline catering businesses, operating across Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch and Queenstown. With approximately 1,000 employees, we produce and deliver more than 25,000 meals daily to airline customers throughout New Zealand.
Our Queenstown team is based at the airport. We make meals and then deliver and load our products onto aircraft at the airport. We bring back all the used equipment and catering, then wash or dispose of everything
About the Role
This role is in our food assembly area. You will be a part of the team that plates meals and prepares food and equipment items for airline passengers.
You may also be producing food items to strict specifications agreed with our clients. You will be the kind of person who can turn out large numbers of a menu item with each of them being perfect and identical. You will also have a good understanding of food safety.
Experience in a process environment would be great, but what we really value is your reliability and enthusiasm. You will be working with our Transport and production kitchen teams, and you need to be someone who can get on with everyone!
Ideal candidates will have
- A good eye for detail
- Be able to work in a temperature-controlled environment
- Work at standing workstations
- Be able to follow basic work instruction documents (speak & write in English)
- Preferable previous experience in a pick and pack job
- Valid work rights enabling them to work full time in New Zealand

Our Queenstown kitchens operate seven days a week and you must be available for rostering on any day. Depending on the season, we operate between 6.00am and 11.00pm. Shifts are typically 8 hours each day, with overtime when it is required to meet the needs of the business. You will be guaranteed 80 hours per fortnight.
