About the role:
You will support one of the world’s most advanced military training ecosystems, ensuring pilots and maintainers are fully prepared for real-world F-35 operations within a globally significant defence capability program.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain high availability of F-35 training devices in line with daily training schedules
Perform scheduled and corrective maintenance on simulation systems in accordance with OEM requirements
Conduct system administration tasks including user account management and Information Assurance support
Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues and implement effective technical solutions
Install, verify, and validate system modifications and security updates in coordination with Configuration Management and Defence stakeholders
Support secure configuration and vulnerability management processes
Assist instructors, aircrew, and contractor pilots in the effective use of training devices
Monitor and respond to emerging technical issues impacting simulator performance
Contribute to documentation including plans, procedures, and technical work instructions
About You:
You are technically minded, detail-focused, and comfortable working in a structured, high-security aviation environment. You enjoy problem-solving and have a strong interest in simulation systems, IT infrastructure, or aviation maintenance.
Experience in simulator maintenance, IT systems administration, Avionics, or Electrical/Electronics.
Aviation maintenance or defence technical support background highly regarded
Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
Familiarity with configuration control, system updates, and security compliance
Ability to work collaboratively with instructors, engineers, and defence stakeholders
Join a high-performance defence aviation program supporting advanced F-35 pilot and maintainer training systems. As a Simulator Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the availability, reliability, and security of mission-critical training devices used to prepare aircrew and maintenance personnel.
Working within a complex technical and secure environment, you will be responsible for system administration, maintenance, troubleshooting, and configuration of electro-mechanical and IT-based simulation networks. You will support ongoing training operations by ensuring simulators are fully mission-ready, up to date, and operating in line with strict customer and defence specifications.
