About the Role
As Manager – Fixed Wing Aeromedical Services, you will lead LifeFlight’s jet air ambulance operations, delivering critical care to patients across Australia and internationally. This is a fast-paced, high-impact role where you’ll coordinate complex aeromedical evacuations, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive operational efficiency.

You will lead a team of Aeromedical Evacuation Specialists, fostering a high-performing, service-focused culture while supporting the growth and sustainability of LifeFlight’s commercial operations. Working at the intersection of operations, compliance, and client delivery, you will play a key role in strengthening LifeFlight’s position as a trusted Tier One aeromedical provider.

In this role, you will:

  • Provide operational oversight and maintain accurate tasking procedures

  • Ensure timely, clear, and professional communication with internal and external stakeholders

  • Act as the key operational liaison for LifeFlight Jet Air Ambulance clients, supporting a high standard of client experience

  • Maintain and enhance fixed-wing tasking and reporting systems to support operational performance

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and support the scalability of commercial operations

Based in Brisbane’s CBD, this full-time position operates on a 7 days on / 7 days off roster with an on-call component, reflecting the critical, 24/7 nature of LifeFlight’s life-saving work.

About You

You are a highly capable and adaptable operations leader, motivated by purpose and passionate about making a real impact through aeromedical services. You thrive in fast-paced, time-critical environments and are skilled at coordinating complex operations while maintaining the highest standards of safety and service.
  
You bring a combination of technical knowledge, leadership experience, and stakeholder management skills, including:  

  • Detailed knowledge of international medevac operations, including visa requirements, customs, immigration, and liaising with foreign ground handling agents

  • Proven experience coordinating and managing aeromedical evacuations, ideally in an international context

  • In-depth understanding of flight duty restrictions for fixed-wing crews

  • Strong knowledge of aviation operations, medical procedures, and patient care during transport

  • Ability to construct and maintain operating procedures

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for working with diverse internal and external stakeholders

  • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure, adapt to changing circumstances, and make informed decisions

  • Prior experience coaching and mentoring team members, fostering high-performing teams
