Your New Role and Responsibilities

The Mission Systems Technician plays a key role in our success, and we currently have an opportunity available for a passionate, ambitious individual who is keen to develop and grow a career with us.

  • Be responsible for the control and maintenance of Aeronautical Products (AP) and Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) mission/role equipment, within Leidos Airborne Solutions Engineering.

  • Ensure all maintenance, maintenance documentation, maintenance supervision and applicable certification is carried out and completed IAW relevant regulations, policy manuals, component maintenance manuals and procedures.

  • Comply with company Safety, WHS and Quality policies/procedures.

  • Be responsible for the general condition, upkeep and housekeeping of any related work areas.

  • Be accountable for any tools and equipment used in maintenance.

  • Assist and provide full co-operation with auditors and investigators during audits and investigations.

  • Liaise with Component OEM’s, responsible CAMO’s, Project teams, Suppliers, Customers and/or Engineering/Logistics staff if/when required.

  • Perform general administrative duties as/when required.

  • Perform other duties as directed by the Service Centre Supervisor and/or Service Centre Manager.

What You’ll Bring to Make an Impact

  • Certificate IV in Aeroskills or relevant trade experience. (Essential)

  • Electronics, Electrical and/or Telecommunications trade based skills (Essential)

  • Aviation technical experience (Desirable)

  • Sound skills in IT maintenance repairs and diagnostics (Desirable)

  • Radar Repair & Test – Ground and Airborne radar systems (Desirable)

  • Good communication skills

  • Ability to liaise with different levels of staff i.e. from shop floor up to CEO level.

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet agreed deadlines.
