HK Express

Hong Kong's only low-cost carrier, part of the Cathay Group, operating scheduled flights to 27 Asian destinations with a young fleet and IOSA-accredited safety operations.

HK Express (Hong Kong Express Airways Limited) is Hong Kong's first and only low-cost carrier, operating scheduled services across Asia as part of the Cathay Group. The airline flies an extensive Asian network of 27 destinations, covering markets including China, Japan, the Philippines, Malaysia, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam from its Hong Kong base.

Fleet operations run on what the airline describes as one of the youngest and most modern aircraft fleets in the world. Operational performance is tracked against international benchmarks: Cirium ranked HK Express 3rd globally and 1st in Asia among low-cost carriers for on-time performance. The carrier reports having enabled travel for tens of millions of passengers.

Safety and regulatory oversight are central to the operation. HK Express holds a 7-star safety rating from AirlineRatings.com, the highest ranking available, is accredited under the IATA Operational Safety Audit (IOSA), and is a member of the Flight Safety Foundation. Core operating domains span airline operations, low-cost carrier operations, aviation safety management and fleet operations.

The network strategy is built around affordable low-cost scheduled flights across Asia, with a fare structure and route portfolio oriented toward high-frequency leisure and VFR travel to and from Hong Kong.
