About the Role

Inspector is responsible for conducting detailed inspections to determine the extent of damage or defects on aircraft components and systems. The inspector uses specialized knowledge and experience to assess reparability, repair options, and costs. The Inspector is also responsible for conducting final inspections of aircraft components to ensure compliance with regulatory and customer specifications before releasing them back into service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform preliminary, hidden-damage, in-process and final inspections on civil aviation articles in accordance with current technical data provided in the manufacturer's instructions for continued airworthiness, Service Bulletins, service letters, Airworthiness Directives, industry standard practices, and other data acceptable to the Administrator
  • Ensure thorough familiarity with the inspection methods, techniques, aids, tools and equipment used within the assigned area of responsibility
  • Maintain proficiency in using the inspection aids in the assigned area of responsibility
  • Ensure that inspection tools and equipment, including inspection aids, are in proper working order and properly calibrated
  • Understand current specifications involving inspection tolerances, limitations, and procedures established by the manufacturer of the article(s) being inspected
  • Ensure all inspections are properly performed and recorded, and all records are properly executed

Essential Requirements

  • Professional qualification (Diploma or Professional Certificate) with background in engineering (Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical)
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in the related inspection processes
  • Knowledge in C7 rating and ATA 72
