Fortescue Helicopters are the leading provider for aerial mustering, aerial work and charter services for the Pilbara and South in the West Australian Rangelands. Due to an increase in workload, we are looking for 4 pilot to join our team by the 10th April 2026.
We operate a fleet of 20 helicopters comprising of 8 x R22, 4 x R44, 2 x R66 TURBINE, 4 x Bell 206L and 2 x Bell 407 helicopter and a field support fixed wing aircraft.
We are the only locally owned and operated BARS + CASA approved charter, aerial work and mustering provider throughout the Pilbara, Gascoyne, Goldfields and south west of WA. Our work see’s us travel as far QLD, VIC, NT and SA.
As primary producers ourselves we understand the many complexities of a regional business which helps give us a dynamic perspective of other producers and customers business’s and ensures we provide them the most cost-effective service possible.
Fortescue Helicopters are looking for 4 helicopter pilots to join our team for an immediate start by the 10th April 2026.
Must have a minimum of –
· CASA CPL (H)
· CASA Class 1 Medical
· 250 hours Helicopter Pilot Total Time
· Low Level Rating
· GTE
· ASIC
· Dangerous Goods Awareness Course
· CRM
· Driver’s License (manual)
Recommended –
· HUET
· R22, R44, R66, B206L, B407 Endorsements
· Mustering Endorsement
· Sling Endorsement
· Aerial Ag Endorsement
· Experience with and/or willingness to operate in remote locations for long periods of time with a flexible roster.
· For anyone mustering qualified; Extensive livestock handling and management experience prior to flying and professional attitude toward cattle handling and clients.
An attractive Hourly/ Day rate for the right applicant.
There is scope for flying charter, tourism, sling, spraying, full range of surveys, photography/filming, mustering and/or a combination of the above. This will be based on attitude + ability but mostly on mutual discussion at commencement of job and can be negotiable up to a point.
We have a strong commitment to developing the careers of our pilots while they are with us and regularly conduct internal and external training for our staff. For the right candidates, endorsements will be covered by Fortescue Helicopters.
Flexible roster and living requirements available from FIFO to and including married/family accommodation in the Pilbara if required. Work opportunities for spouse in cattle and other industry's available. Other hangar duties (paid) and assisting with 100 hourlys etc. May be required from time to time and you will be remunerated according to experience and agreement prior to commencing role.
