Downer is inviting applications to join its permanent workforce as an Aircraft Baggage Handler & Ground Crew at RAAF Base Amberley. Applicants from all backgrounds are welcome – whether you bring Defence experience, industry knowledge, or transferable skills from other sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Loading and unloading baggage, cargo and freight
- Marshalling aircraft
- Operating ground support equipment
- Maintaining safe airside operations in accordance with relevant standards
Essential Requirements
- Ability to obtain and retain a Defence security clearance
- Knowledge of safe loading and unloading procedures
- Valid driver's licence
- Must be an Australian Citizen to obtain Defence Security Clearance
Desirable
- RIICBS316 – Conduct Pavement Sweeping Operations
- Airside Awareness Training
- Certificate II in Aviation (Ground Operations and Service)
- Airside Driver Authority (ADA)
