Key Responsibilities
- Ensure high quality service level, ensuring rapid response to minimize downtime of equipment as part of maintenance planning and control
- Plan and delegate daily Preventive Maintenance / Corrective Maintenance work to supervisor/work teams
- Plan advance preventive or corrective maintenance work to minimise equipment downtime; recommend and approve ordering of spare parts for all equipment
- Ensure safety policies, practices, and administration are enforced and complied with during work
- Ensure all recovery tools and equipment are in operational readiness, and all workshop facilities and housekeeping are in good working condition
- Liaise with OEMs and suppliers for technical support or quotations for additional repairs
- Conduct root cause analysis on critical equipment breakdowns and provide recommendations to prevent recurrence
- Prepare Critical Problem Reports for all equipment breakdowns on flight
- Ensure compliance with all workplace safety, security, and health policies and procedures
Essential Requirements
- Minimum Degree / Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical / Automotive Engineering from a recognized tertiary institution
- Preferably with additional training and/or work experience in electrical, electronic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems necessary for the competent maintenance of automatic and/or semi-automatic equipment
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a relevant discipline, preferably from the automotive or airport ground support equipment industry
- Minimum 5 years of supervisory or managerial experience
- Strong skills in project management and workshop service centre operations
- Strong skills in Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) and Root Cause Analysis
- Must possess minimum LTA Class 3 driving licence and above
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, SAP and report writing
