History Corporate Air was launched in 1972 by local Canberra interests. At the time of commencement of services, the Company operated a flying school and a small air charter business. The flying school was successful, as was the air charter business. Many of the people who learnt to fly with us are now airline pilots with major airlines around the world. Success in the air charter business allowed measured growth and opportunities in the industry led to the purchase of the first Company turboprop aircraft in 1989. The Company now operates 18 turboprop aircraft including eleven Saab 340B+WTs. Corporate Air has not experienced the explosive growth that some aviation companies experience. The organisation has very deliberately taken a conservative, safe and strategic approach to business. As a result, it is one of the few organisations that has operated in the regional aviation market for more than 50 years. The Company has an unblemished safety record and, in line with CASA Regulations, holds an ‘Airline’ Air Operator’s Certificate (Domestic and International). Today Corporate Air is one of the largest 24/7 aviation service providers in eastern and southern Australia with bases in Brisbane, Sydney, Goulburn, Canberra and Melbourne. The Company is widely respected by customers and aviation industry regulators for its safe, reliable and cost effective delivery of products and services. Corporate Air has in place a ‘best practice’ strategy, providing professional services and a wide range of aircraft types that are best suited to client requirements. Specifically we provide a variety of air charter services tailored to meet the requirements of corporate, government, convention and sporting organisations. Amongst these services are corporate and business charter flights, fly-in fly-out (FIFO) services, overnight freight, airborne remote sensing services, search and rescue, and outback tour services. Corporate Air also provides aircraft ground handling services for airline, corporate, freight and itinerant aircraft, handling over 4,500 aircraft annually. The Company operates its own state-of-the-art CASA approved aircraft heavy maintenance facility at Goulburn, NSW. This facility maintains all of the Corporate Air fleet to the highest standards as well as providing aircraft maintenance services to a number of external clients. The Company possesses highly developed management systems together with well trained personnel fully supporting the principles of resilience and quality service delivery. Its people and systems make Corporate Air an organisation that can take a client requirement and build a solution that is safe, efficient and absolutely meets the client’s requirements from commencement of operations. It recognises the importance of providing a product that integrates high levels of safety and compliance with client requirements. The Company employs over 150 staff and is dedicated to providing safe, reliable operations with outstanding service for our customers. All managers have extensive regional aviation experience and the stability of Corporate Air makes it an employer of choice. Corporate Air is a private company that is independently audited. Corporate Air is frequently rated by aviation safety auditors as the leader in its market segment. Air Affairs Australia (AAA) is a highly capable and innovative Aviation Flight Operations and Engineering based company. Established in 1995, AAA is a leader in the provision of specialised airborne and engineering services to Defence Forces, Government Departments and multinational companies in Australia and around the world. The company is ISO 9001 & AS4801 Quality Certified, Australian Defence Security cleared and provides aircraft operations and maintenance under full CASA certification. AAA operates from purpose built facilities at the Albatross Aviation Technology Park, in Nowra, NSW. AAA owns and operates a fleet of special mission 30 & 60 series Learjet and Kingair aircraft, providing specialised air training support services to the Australian Defence Force. The aircraft also fulfil other special mission roles, including turn-key high altitude bushfire reconnaissance services. All aircraft are maintained and operated by the company under full CASA certification, including certified facilities and processes. AAA maintains an extensive manufacturing and engineering facility, providing a complete design through to manufacture and certification capability. This facility currently supports the manufacture and support for the MTR-101 Target Towing Reeling Machine, AIRPOD 101 Utility Airborne Pod system and an array of airborne tow / drone target systems. AAA manufactures and provides full operational services for the Phoenix Unmanned Aerial Target Drone. The Phoenix drone, developed by AAA, is currently in operational service and providing an extremely cost effective unmanned target drone solution.

Professional Helicopter Services (PHS) was established in 1981 and is now one of Australia’s leading helicopter companies operating from bases in Melbourne, Gold Coast and Central Australia. The company services a multitude of rotary wing operations including Pilot Training, Film and Video Production, Emergency Services including Bush Fire Support, Power Line support, Charters and Tourism Flights. Over the past 40 years, PHS has continuously grown and now manages a fleet of over 30 helicopters. PHS operates Australia’s longest running pilot training school offering training from Initial Training to Advanced Instrument and Night Vision Training for numerous helicopter companies and government agencies across Australia, New Zealand and Papua New Guinea.

Shine Aviation In 2011, Shine Aviation added a Beechcraft 1900D to its fleet. The 19-seat aircraft services Midwest mining companies to access remote mine sites. Whilst operating predominantly in the Midwest region of Western Australia, Shine Aviation offers flights and aviation services to anywhere in Australia.
