About the Role
Get onboard the Collins Aerospace Operations team and play a part in managing our innovative products from inception to delivery. The Operations team continues to grow and aims to strengthen the connection of Manufacturing Operations, Supply Chain and Environment, Health & Safety (EH&S) across Collins Aerospace.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor Assembly Completion based on Firing Order & establish sequence and lead time of each operation to meet shipping dates according to CODD
- Analyze production specifications and plant capacity data and perform mathematical calculations to determine manufacturing processes, tools and human resource requirements
- Plan and schedule workflow for each department and operation according to previously established manufacturing lead times
- Confer with department supervisors to determine status of assigned projects
- Expedite operations that delay schedules and alter schedules to meet unforeseen conditions
- Create Production Orders on time based on sequence of firing order
- Check available assembly to incorporate into production schedule
- Provide weekly planning reports related to production plan performance
- Lead a team of planners
- Adhere to and participate in all EHS practices and standards across the site, including proactive reporting of observed hazards
Essential Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and 5 years of prior relevant experience; or an Advanced Degree with a minimum of 3 years of experience; or, in the absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Excellent understanding of ERP systems (SAP; PELICO is an advantage)
- Strong written and verbal communication and reasoning skills
- Excellent analytical and interpersonal skills
