CGH operates the Singapore Changi Aeromedical Centre, which delivers Aviation Physiology Training (APT) for aircrew using advanced training simulators.

About the Role

You will be responsible for supporting the Training Head/Lead and Physiology Training Officer (PTO) in the conduct of Aviation Physiology Training (APT) utilising APT simulators, and be able to perform the role of altitude chamber safety man.

Key Responsibilities

  • Competent in twelve specialized training support roles performed as part of a training team supporting the PTO in the conduct of APT using advanced simulators, including:
    • Operator, Training Support Specialist 1, Gondola Assistant and Training Support Specialist 2 for Human Training Centrifuge training
    • Operator, Training Support Specialist 1, and Training Support Specialist 2 for Ejection Seat Trainer training
    • Operator, Safetyman 1 or 2 for Altitude Chamber training
    • Gondola Assistant for Spatial Disorientation training
    • Operator for Night Vision Trainer training
    • Operator for Somatogyral Turntable training
  • Competent in performing the chamber safetyman role
  • Competent in basic first aid and resuscitation drills
  • Competent in the use of basic computer software for course administration, report preparation, and roster preparation
  • Support administrative functions, identify areas for incremental improvement, and solve urgent problems
  • Conduct proper and safe Aviation Physiology Training with the team while supporting the PTO
  • Ensure the advanced APT simulators are safe and in good working order in accordance with Aviation Industry Standards before conducting any training sessions

Essential Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in any relevant discipline
  • Prior experience in the healthcare-related industry or military aviation will be an advantage
  • Good interpersonal & communication skills
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Need to obtain at least a CAT 2 Mindef G50 clearance
  • Prior experience in operating training simulators will be an advantage
