About the Role
Join Cathay Pacific as an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer on a Casual Contract basis in Brisbane, performing maintenance on Cathay Pacific and third-party aircraft in accordance with company procedures and regulatory standards. As part of the Brisbane Engineering Team, you will contribute to the operational reliability, security and presentation of aircraft, supporting a safe and seamless travel experience for customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Work on a shift basis to perform aircraft maintenance for Cathay Group aircraft and third-party customers under the supervision of a Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer or Assistant Engineering Manager
- Monitor the performance of third-party service providers, including technical, ramp, de-icing and refuelling services
- Service and maintain station ground equipment, vehicles, systems and facilities
- Support contingency plans and ad hoc operational requirements, including diversions, charter flights, aircraft type changes and major disruption recovery
- Deliver a high standard of customer service
- Promote a safe and healthy workplace by complying with all applicable occupational health and safety requirements
Essential Requirements
- Certificate IV or Diploma in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering
- Experience working on wide-body aircraft, including the B787, B777, A350, A330, A380 and B747-8 Freighter
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Clear and effective communication skills
- Cultural awareness and the ability to work effectively with diverse personalities
- Proven ability to work independently and make sound decisions with limited information
- Ability to work safely and effectively under time pressure
