As a Senior Instructor at the Navy Synthetic Warfighting Centre (NSWC), you will lead and manage the delivery of advanced tactical training and synthetic warfare training events for the Royal Australian Navy. Your responsibilities will include:
- Supervising and managing synthetic training scenario delivery, including Advanced Tactical Training (ATT).
- Acting as Subject Matter Expert (SME) on Australian Combat Systems and tactical interfaces.
- Leading major synthetic events (LFE, ATT, SWIPE) and filling bespoke roles such as EXCON Director, Battle Management Coordinator, and Intelligence Coordinator.
- Providing mentoring, leadership, and team management for NSWC training staff.
- Liaising with Defence agencies and coalition partners to align training objectives and capabilities.
Our Ideal Candidate Has:
- 8–12 years of relevant experience, including familiarity with Naval Combat Management Systems (AEGIS and 9LV preferred).
- Possess a minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Principal Warfare Officer, Lieutenant Commander level.
- Strong understanding of RAN operational structure, warfighting principles, and doctrine.
- Experience with ADF operations and exercise requirements (minimum 10 years).
- Previous experience managing a team of combat system operators.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
