About the Role

As an Environment Advisor within our Environment team, you will work closely with our Property group, supporting the development and delivery of projects across one of Queensland's most diverse and dynamic property portfolios. This is a hands-on role where you will help ensure environmental compliance, manage environmental risk, and influence sustainable outcomes across development, construction and operational activities.

Reporting to the Environment Manager, the Environment Advisor - Commercial Property provides practical, risk-based environmental advice across a broad range of property, infrastructure and development projects. You will partner closely with Property and Works Managers, contractors, tenants and stakeholders to support environmentally responsible outcomes while maintaining compliance with regulatory and operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Providing environmental advice and support across development and construction projects
• Reviewing environmental assessments, management plans and supporting project documentation
• Conducting environmental inspections, audits and compliance monitoring activities
• Supporting the ongoing development and maintenance of BAC's Environmental Management System (EMS)
• Reviewing contamination, stormwater, erosion and sediment, groundwater, noise and air quality management measures
• Assisting with environmental monitoring, data analysis and performance reporting
• Investigating environmental incidents and supporting corrective actions
• Building strong relationships with project teams, contractors, tenants and regulators
• Supporting delivery of actions under the Airport Environment Strategy and other environmental initiatives

Essential Requirements

• Experience in environmental management, compliance, approvals, planning or project delivery, ideally within property, infrastructure, construction, government, transport, utilities or another complex operating environment
• A degree qualification in environmental science, engineering, planning or a related discipline
• Knowledge of environmental legislation, standards and environmental management systems
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• The ability to work across multiple projects in a fast-paced environment

Desirable

• Experience with contaminated land, environmental auditing or construction projects
