Boresight is a Canberra-based developer and manufacturer of high-performance uncrewed aerial systems, established in 2020. The company's core production centres on low-cost, attritable aerial target drones designed for counter-drone (C-UAS) training and live-fire evaluation. These purpose-built systems are intended as consumables, with more than 6,000 units supplied to 15 militaries across 12 countries, including deployments in the United States, Europe, and Australia. A supporting ground control system enforces safety parameters and enables the swarming of multiple targets simultaneously.
Alongside its target-drone portfolio, Boresight has expanded into cost-effective ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance) camera drones for missions requiring live video feeds. The company's technical domains span aerial target design, ground control systems, swarming technology, and counter-drone and ISR drone systems. A strategy of vertical integration supports supply chain security and cost reduction, while a focus on recurring demand and regional presence underpins plans for manufacturing expansion and long-term contract structures.
