CH-47F Chinook B1.3 (Aircraft) Maintenance Instructor

About the Role

Boeing Defence Australia is delivering critical defence capability across Australia and New Zealand through innovative engineering and trusted technical support. We are seeking an experienced CH-47F Chinook B1.3 Aircraft Maintenance Instructor/Assessor to join our CH-47F Maintenance Training Team at the Army Aviation Training Centre, Swartz Barracks, Oakey, QLD.

Are you passionate about helicopters and motivated to develop the next generation of aviation maintainers? In this role, you will deliver CH-47F academic, practical and on-the-job training to help build confident, capable ADF aircraft maintenance technicians in line with Defence regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Deliver CH-47F B1.3 aircraft type and associated maintenance support training, both theory and practical, in accordance with Learning Management Packages and training schedules
• Act as CH-47F Course Manager as required
• Develop and continuously improve training package materials, assessments and supporting resources
• Maintain and support training aids and simulators within the assigned Training Facility
• Maintain currency on the CH-47F as a maintainer and contribute to the development of the DASR Part 147 aligned training system
• Provide day-to-day student support and stakeholder engagement across Army Aviation at Oakey

Essential Requirements

• Demonstrated CH-47F Aircraft Type Qualification, B1.3 MAML or equivalent
• Minimum of approximately 10 years' experience as a Rotary Wing B1.3 aviation maintainer, aviation supervisor or maintenance manager
• Certificate IV in Aeroskills (Aircraft)

Desirable

• Experience delivering training in the Defence environment
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in multi-trade team environments
• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, TAE40116, or willingness to obtain
• Understanding of DASA Part 147 and Part 66 regulations
• Demonstrated courseware development, instructor/mentor and coaching skills
