Established in 1991, Basair offers students without any previous aviation experience the benefits of a fully-integrated, world-class curriculum; graduating as fully qualified commercial pilots within a year.

With hundreds of alumni flying for major airlines worldwide, our mission is to provide young, eager minds with the technical and non-technical skills required to become expert pilots and rounded professionals. 

Our passion is in producing pilots who are life-long learners; determined on improving with every flight and mastering their art. This approach positions students to continue to grow and flourish beyond graduation; preparing them for long and successful pilot careers.

With 2 campuses to choose from (Sydney and Brisbane) and a new class starting every 4 weeks, Basair also offers unmatched flexibility.

Horizon Airways

Founded in 1994 Horizon Airways has a successful history of training students for their Recreational, Private and Commercial Pilot Licences plus Ratings and Endorsements Pilot Training varies from beginner to Commercial Pilot including RPL, PPL, NVFR, Private IFR and CPL along with design features endorsements such as Constant Speed Propeller, Retractable undercarriage, multi-Engine ratings and more. Under new management since July 2021, the hangar/office has undergone a revamp with departure lounge, offices and upstairs classrooms. We also now conduct theory classes and stock a variety of headsets, books and charts for purchase. We have an additional instructor plus we are expanding our available aircraft. Charter is available with Pilots experienced in the Mackay, Whitsundays and throughout Central and North Queensland areas at affordable prices. Horizon Airways also offers Private Aircraft Hire.

Australian Airline Pilot Academy

With over thirty years of flying tradition and experience behind us, we know what it takes to make the best airline pilots. AAPA is managed by its parent company Regional Express (Rex) which is the largest independent regional and domestic airline in Australia, recognised by experts all over the globe as the world’s best regional airline. AAPA only trains pilots to commercial airlines standards and has a much more stringent and rigorous pedagogy compared to what is prevalent amongst pilot schools catering to General Aviation. AAPA has been approved by civil aviation regulatory bodies in China, Singapore, Australia, Vietnam and the United Arab Emirates to deliver ab-initio Integrated Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL) and Air Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL) and Multi Crew Cooperation (MCC). AAPA has trained pilots for Air China, Hainan Airlines, Xiamen Airlines, Okay Airways, Scoot, Qatar Airways, China Airlines, Juneyao Airlines, Shenzhen Airlines, Tigerair, Rex, Vietnam Airlines and Air Arabia. Besides training cadets for airlines, AAPA also accepts private candidates aspiring to be airline pilots. AAPA has two large campuses at Wagga Wagga, NSW and Ballarat, VIC, and has a total combined capacity of over 400 cadets a year for its residential CPL programme.

Advanced Aviation Training

AAT offers bot recreational and Commercial flight training options, and a multitude of ratings and endorsements. AAT is located at the Redcliffe Aerodrome, only 25km away from the Brisbane CBD. Redcliffe is an economical place to fly without the need for slots to be booked and low airport fees. Being so close to the training area, students spend less time on the ground and more time completing their lessons.

Singapore Flying College is a Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) and Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) approved flight school headquartered at the SIA Training Centre in Singapore, established in 1988 under the Singapore Airlines Group. Our focus is to ensure pilot training includes the core values required for airline pilots.
