About the Role

Aviation Australia is actively on the lookout for Aircraft Maintenance Engineers interested in transitioning to an instructor role. As an instructor, you’ll take the lead in delivering both theory and practical training within your trade stream, inspiring and supporting the next generation of aircraft maintenance engineers. No instructor experience? No problem — while previous training or mentoring experience will be highly regarded, it’s not essential. Just bring your technical knowledge, growth mindset and passion for aviation. These roles offer a unique opportunity to teach, including developing training materials and practical activities, with variety and autonomy.

Our Ideal Candidate

  • Certificate IV in Aeroskills
  • EASA Part 66 recognised qualification (highly regarded)
  • Current AME or LAME licence (highly regarded), along with experience in a training or mentoring role
  • Willingness to learn, grow and obtain a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
  • Ability to work both autonomously and within a small, close-knit team
  • Well-developed problem-solving and strong organisation skills
  • Enthusiastic attitude with a passion for aviation
  • Experience working in the aviation industry, preferably at least 3 years
