Australian Maritime Systems Group (AMSG) is a dynamic and diverse specialist provider of Aviation and Search and Rescue (SAR) Life support equipment services, marine operations, asset management, mission critical electronic systems and infrastructure maintenance services to the maritime, defence and aviation industries.
AMSG is looking to build its team of Technicians to support long standing contracts - including AMSA Search and Rescue, Defence and Air Services Australia and major Airlines and Rescue Helicopters, AMS Group is a CASA and EASA certified repair facility, delivering high quality servicing and maintenance of Aviation Life Support Equipment throughout Australia and neighbouring countries.
The Role
We are seeking an Aeronautical Life Support Technician/Life Support Fitter to join our Life Support Systems Team based in our Brisbane depot on a full-time basis.
The role may include International and regular Interstate travel with OEM Equipment type training to be provided on both Helicopter and Fixed wing Aircraft SAR/Life Support Equipment.
On the Job Training will provided on Specialised Aviation SAR Equipment, Repair, Test and Inspection Certification.
Key Responsibilities
Have the ability to be trained in a variety of Aviation Life Support and Search & Rescue Equipment including but not limited to Aviation Life Rafts, Aviation Life Jackets, Marine Life Rafts, SAR Aerial Delivery Systems, Parachutes and Survival equipment.
Undertake the depot and site maintenance of AMSG maintained life support systems and equipment around Australia.
Undertake repair, testing, and maintenance of life support equipment in accordance with prescribed standards.
Ensure full compliance to any required standards and accreditations including CASA/EASA.
Required Skills, Experience and Attributes
Aeronautical Life Support Equipment CERT IV or Life Support Fitter experience is highly desirable
Mechanical background and previous experience working in Aviation hangars/workshops under CASA/EASA/DASA is highly desirable

Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team

Ability to use hand tools

Driver’s licence
Forklift licence or willingness to obtain (preferred but not essential)
Operate under a CASA drug and alcohol Policy (testing)
Undertake and pass medical assessments as required
Availability to undertake flexible hours, including some weekends, public holidays, out of hours, shift/rostered duties, where required.
