Airnorth is seeking motivated local applicants for our 2026 intake for First or Second Year Apprentice Aircraft Maintenance Engineers - Mechanical (B1.1) or Avionics (B2) to join our Darwin Engineering team.

Activities undertaken during your apprenticeship:
- Complete training and study of aircraft maintenance and regulatory requirements to progress to an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer
- Performing aircraft maintenance including the removal and installation of aircraft components
- Supporting the issue, supply and management of tooling and equipment
- Assisting with creating and updating work orders
- Housekeeping of the hangar facility
- Maintaining a detailed apprenticeship journal
We are looking for someone who has:
- Completed Aviation studies (advantageous but not essential)
- Demonstrated commitment to safety and a compliant work environment
- A self-starter with a strong work ethic
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Good level of eye and hand coordination skills
- Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Pre-Employment assessment:
As part of the selection process applicants will be required to undertake the following checks:
- Aptitude Testing (Literacy & Numeracy)
- Drug & Alcohol Testing
- National Police/Criminal History Check
- Ability to hold and maintain an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC)
- Have full working rights in Australia
- Hold a current driver’s licence
- Must have completed Year 10
