Role Overview

We are seeking motivated and safety-driven ROV Pilot Technicians (Level I & II) to support offshore ROV operations. The role involves assisting with piloting, maintenance, and troubleshooting of ROV systems while working as part of an offshore vessel team. Candidates must demonstrate adaptability, strong technical aptitude, and a proactive approach to safe operations.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with piloting and operating ROV systems during offshore activities

  • Carry out routine maintenance, inspections, fault finding, and repairs on ROV systems and associated tooling

  • Support launch and recovery operations in accordance with procedures

  • Maintain accurate operational logs, technical records, and reports

  • Work collaboratively with supervisors, technicians, and vessel crew

  • Comply with all applicable safety, quality, and operational standards

  • Maintain a professional, service‑oriented attitude in an offshore environment


Required Experience & Qualifications

Experience

  • ROV Pilot Technician I:

    • Offshore experience in ROV operations or a relevant technical role

  • ROV Pilot Technician II:

    • 1–2 years offshore ROV experience with demonstrable piloting capability

  • Minimum of 100 hours documented ROV piloting experience

Technical Qualifications

  • Relevant qualifications and/or trade certification in one or more of the following disciplines:

    • Electrical

    • Electronic

    • Hydraulics

    • Mechanical

  • IMCA Base Competency Logbook (preferred)

  • IMCA-aligned certification (advantageous)

Mandatory Offshore Certifications

  • OGUK Medical

  • BOSIET with CA‑EBS

  • MISC certification
