Established in 1968, The Aerotech Group is South Australia’s largest privately owned aviation company, with specialised aircraft, innovative thinking and a team of talented people. With over 160+ staff and a fleet of 40 aircraft, Aerotech Group have a well-deserved reputation as an Australian leader in providing aerial solutions, working across several sectors including firefighting, agricultural spraying, mining support and medical evacuations.
ABOUT THE POSITIONS
We have three permanent full time vacancies located at Parafield Airport as follows;
Aircraft Maintenance Apprentice (B1.1) (Cert IV and Diploma in Aeroskills, Mechanical)
Aircraft Maintenance Apprentice (B2) (Cert IV and Diploma in Aeroskills, Avionics)
Aircraft Painter (Cert III in Automotive Refinishing)
The successful apprentice will gain on-the-job training as a trade assistant initially. The goal will be to earn an apprenticeship and commence the pathway to complete the appropriate qualification.
These roles are intended to commence in July 2026.
Training fees associated with the apprenticeship will be covered by Aerotech.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (B1.1 AND B2)
Day to day housekeeping of the hangar (cleaning, organising and miscellaneous tasks).
Supporting the spare parts store by issuing parts and components as requested, counting and recording stock and correctly documenting the return of unused parts and components.
Assisting with aircraft maintenance including the removal and installation of aircraft components.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (PAINT)
Day to day housekeeping of the paint shop; cleaning, stock and tool organisation, and miscellaneous tasks.
Assisting with the preparation of aircraft for painting; surface preparation and priming.
Finishing aircraft to be released back into the fleet; cleaning, polishing and detailing.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED
A passion for the Aviation industry.
You must be punctual, presentable, honest and able to display good communication skills.
A commitment to learning and studies.
A can-do attitude with an understanding that basic tasks must be mastered before higher level opportunities are allocated.
Basic understanding of hand tools and equipment and/or a mechanically minded.
In the long term, a flexible approach to working hours as our operations run 7 days per week.
An ability to pass initial and ongoing drug and alcohol testing.
Hold a driver’s licence, or be in a position to achieve a driver’s licence within the next 12 months.
