Aerosure is seeking experienced and motivated Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (LAME) holding a current CASA B1.1 and/or B1.2 Aircraft Maintenance Engineer Licence to join our growing team in the Northern Territory.

With opportunities available in Alice Springs and Katherine, this role offers variety, professional development and a supportive working environment, with a strong focus on safety, quality and work/life balance.

Applicants require practical experience maintaining light aircraft, including aircraft such as Cessna and Beechcraft Baron, with the ability to confidently undertake maintenance, inspections, fault diagnosis and certification activities independently.

Key Responsibilities

As part of the Aerosure maintenance team, your responsibilities will include:

  • Aircraft maintenance, servicing and inspections
  • Certification and Release to Service within the scope of your licence and authorisations
  • Fault diagnosis and troubleshooting
  • Ensuring compliance with CASA regulations, approved maintenance data and company procedures
  • Accurate completion and management of aircraft maintenance records
  • Working collaboratively with engineers, apprentices and operational staff
  • Providing technical support and guidance where required
  • Supporting continuous improvement across maintenance operations
  • Promoting and maintaining a strong safety culture
  • Maintaining and managing tools and equipment
  • Liaising professionally with customers and operators
  • Undertaking occasional remote travel where operationally required
  • Using Aerotrack systems as part of day-to-day maintenance operations

About You

To be successful in this position, you will ideally have:

  • A current CASA B1.1 and/or B1.2 Aircraft Maintenance Engineer Licence
  • Demonstrated experience maintaining light aircraft
  • Experience with Cessna, Beechcraft Baron and similar aircraft highly regarded
  • Strong fault-finding and technical problem-solving skills
  • A thorough understanding of aviation maintenance compliance and safety requirements
  • High standards of workmanship and attention to detail
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • The ability to work independently and take ownership of maintenance activities
  • A professional and customer-focused approach

Senior Base Engineer Opportunity

For an experienced candidate with demonstrated leadership capability, there is opportunity to progress into a Senior Base Engineer position at both locations following successful completion of the probation period.

This opportunity would suit an experienced LAME looking to take greater responsibility for base operations while remaining actively involved in aircraft maintenance and engineering.
