Advanced Aviation Training (AAT) is inviting expressions of interest from suitably qualified Flight Instructors interested in joining its growing training operation.

AAT conducts professional flight training from its established Redcliffe base and its developing Bundaberg operation. As training programs continue to expand, AAT is seeking to identify qualified instructors who may be interested in current or upcoming employment opportunities. Applications are welcome from instructors across a range of experience levels, with full-time, part-time and casual employment arrangements open for discussion.

About the Role

Depending on qualifications and experience, instructors may be involved in:

  • Recreational Pilot Licence (RPL) training
  • Private Pilot Licence (PPL) training
  • Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL) training
  • Navigation and advanced flight training
  • Instrument and night training where appropriately qualified
  • Flight Instructor Rating training where appropriately qualified
  • RAAus flight training
  • Student mentoring and progression
  • Maintaining high standards of safety, professionalism and instructional quality

Essential Requirements

  • A current Australian pilot licence appropriate to the instructional role
  • A current CASA Flight Instructor Rating and/or relevant RAAus instructor qualification
  • A current aviation medical or other medical qualification appropriate to the privileges being exercised
  • Current flight review, instructor proficiency and recency requirements as applicable
  • Australian working rights

Desirable Qualifications

  • Grade 1 or Grade 2 Flight Instructor
  • Instrument Rating instructional privileges
  • Night VFR instructional privileges
  • Multi-engine instructional experience
  • Flight Instructor Rating training experience
  • RAAus Senior Instructor qualifications
  • Experience delivering structured RPL, PPL or CPL training
